AccuPortrait Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 26, 2026. Developer: gnoow. Contact: gnoowlabs@gmail.com
AccuPortrait turns a photo of a face (a person or a pet) into a pencil sketch and teaches you to draw it by hand, one grid square at a time. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and how long it is kept. In short: your photo is used only to make your sketches and lesson, it is deleted automatically after 7 days, and nothing is sold, shared for advertising or used to train AI models.
What we collect
- Photos you choose. The photo you take or pick, after you crop it in the app.
- Results made from it. The three pencil sketches, the one you choose and the step-by-step lesson.
- An anonymous account ID. The app signs you in anonymously (Firebase Authentication) so only you can see your portraits. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number.
- Job details. The time a portrait was made, its status and simple settings. We also record whether it shows a person or a pet and, for pets, the kind of animal.
- Reports. If you use "Report this sketch", the reason you choose and which sketch it was.
- App integrity checks. Google Play Integrity / Firebase App Check confirm that requests come from the genuine app. Google processes device signals for this under its own privacy policy.
The app does not use advertising, ad IDs, analytics trackers, your contacts, your location or your microphone. The camera is used only when you choose to take a photo.
How we use it
- To check that the photo shows one clear face, and to refuse unsuitable photos (for example photos of children or explicit content).
- To make your sketches and lesson and show them to you.
- To enforce a fair daily limit and keep the service working.
- To review reported sketches and improve safety.
We never use your photos or results to train AI models, and we never sell or share them for advertising.
Where it is processed
Photos and results are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Storage and Firestore, United States). Sketches are made on a computer operated by the developer, which downloads your photo, processes it and uploads the results. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Firebase is provided by Google LLC, which acts as our service provider.
How long we keep it
- Your photo and the sketches you did not pick are deleted automatically 7 days after they are made.
- The sketch you picked and its lesson stay until you delete the portrait, so you can keep drawing it.
- You can delete any portrait sooner with the Delete button. This removes the photo, sketches and lesson right away.
- Reports are kept for up to 90 days.
- Your anonymous account ID is kept so your portraits stay linked to you. Ask us at any time to delete it.
Delete your data
AccuPortrait (developer: gnoow) has no sign-in accounts. Each copy of the app gets an anonymous ID, and your portraits are linked to it. To delete your data:
- One portrait: in AccuPortrait, tap the Delete (bin) button on the portrait. Its photo, sketches and lesson are deleted right away.
- Everything, including the anonymous ID: email gnoowlabs@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my AccuPortrait data". Include your ID from the app's About screen (tap "Copy my ID"). If your version of the app doesn't show it, tell us the date and rough time you made one of your portraits instead, so we can find your anonymous ID. We delete everything linked to it within 30 days and reply to confirm.
- Uninstalling the app does not delete portraits that are still stored, so delete them first or email us.
What is deleted: your photos, sketches, lessons, portrait records and your anonymous ID. What is kept: reports you sent with "Report this sketch" (the reason and which sketch) stay for up to 90 days for safety review, then are deleted automatically.
Your choices and rights
To ask what data we hold, email gnoowlabs@gmail.com. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights to access, correct, delete or object to processing. We will respond within 30 days.
Photos of other people and children
Only upload photos you have the right to use. If a photo shows another person, make sure they agree. AccuPortrait is intended for adults 18 and over, and photos of children are not allowed.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
